As a ClearVision intern, every day is a first time for something new! Last week, graphic design intern Nicole and I ventured into the city for our first Vision Expo trade show. After months of preparing for the event, we were thrilled to be able to see the finished product in person.
Upon our arrival to the Javits Center, we were immediately taken aback by the enormousness of the show floor. Luckily, it didn’t take long to locate ClearVision thanks to our signature “funnel.” We took some time to soak in the booth by studying the set up and browsing the frame dispensaries. One of our favorite displays was the “plexi people” in front of the Times Square backdrop – what a unique way to showcase each brand while reinforcing our New York presence. Nicole also loved seeing the Facebook picture block that she designed, prominently displayed on the perimeter wall! Overall, we thought our booth was very inviting and memorable.
The show also allowed us to put faces to the names we’ve heard around the office. We met quite a few sales representatives as well as industry professionals, such as Shirley and Cathy from the Optical Vision Site.
We then set off to explore the show floor, and let me tell you, we saw every inch! Nicole and I spent hours weaving in and out of the booths, admiring the innovative displays, and checking out what’s trending in eyewear this season. We were blown away by the products in The Underground and Galleria – international fashion is always on the cutting-edge.
Vision Expo East is such a vital event to the marketing department, so it was exciting to finally experience the biggest eyecare event in the industry. We had a blast and are looking forward to next year!
