Marc Ecko Cut & Sew Brand News – November

This Fall, the Marc Ecko Cut & Sew media campaign features Marc Ecko as “Curator of Culture.”

Described as the ultimate multi-tasker, Ecko is portrayed with multiple sets of arms to represent his three personalities: The Artist, The Jetsetter, and The Entrepreneur.  The inspiration behind the campaign derives from a 1948 photograph of writer, poet, and director Jean Cocteau. This edgy and innovative campaign is characterized by pixilated designs and futuristic models.

Ads for the campaign are prominently displayed throughout New York City, from the tops of taxi cabs to a Times Square billboard. An updated Marc Ecko Cut & Sew eyewear website is coming soon, and will reflect the new campaign images. In addition, Marc Ecko recently created a Cut & Sew tumblr blog: The blog features pictures and videos inspired by the Cut & Sew lifestyle, including images of Cut & Sew eyewear, sports cars, and Star Wars, with which Marc has a longtime collaboration.

The fall/holiday Cut & Sew line, now available at, blends modern menswear with streetwear style. Muted-colored pea coats, vests, hoodies, and henleys are just a few of the items highlighted in the collection. Komen for the Cure.® This year’s dazzling suns are called Courage – inspired by those who maintain their courage to fight breast cancer and those who work to raise awareness and funds for the cure.

Komen’s partners and sponsors are passionately involved in the cause, subsequently reaching millions of people who support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. Through events, programs and products such asBCBG’s cause-related sunglasses, Komen was able to invest an additional $47 million in 2011 in discovering and delivering the cures for breast cancer.

2012 U.S. Open Champ Webb Simpson Swings In To IZOD

IZOD has entered into a multi-year marketing partnership with 2012 U.S. Open golf champion, Webb Simpson, beginning in 2013. As part of the partnership, Simpson will wear IZOD Golf apparel on-course and contribute to future product development.

The three-time PGA Tour winner will be featured in point-of-sale materials at participating retailers, in on-air and print advertisements, and on and IZOD’s social media channels.
